This article talks about the achievements of teenagers who have created applications that have benefitted the world. It is definitely surprising that Cyrus Pishevar, a teenager who had created an application for Facebook, which is known as High School Memories, is only 13 years old. I think that it was innovative of him to come up with this application which can collect pictures of one’s High School memories and combine it into an application so that people will not have to “tag” one another on Facebook. This is something which not all 13 year olds can come up with.

One of the main reasons why he could come up with this was because he learnt entrepreneurship from his father, was brought up by technology workers and was introduced to computers at an early age.

In my opinion, I think that being exposed to technology has an impact on how a child thinks about applications. For example, Daniel Brusilovsky, an 18-year-old mentioned that he was surrounded by technology for a long time and gradually gained an interest for it. This could have led him to have found two startups even before he was old enough to vote. Another main reason that could have contributed to these successful achievements of these teenagers, is due to the writing software, which is now simpler and cheaper.

I think that the comment by Facebook investor, Peter Thiel, in which he said that one should pursue their dreams, rather than college, because traditional education steers them away from entrepreneurship and into steady jobs, is not appropriate. Students might think that school is not important and that fulfilling their dreams is more important.  I also think that students should not risk their education for dreams that they are not sure in which if they can succeed or not.

Another amazing fact about Cyrus is that at an age of six years old, he was learning how to use the computer and was even giving feedback to his father about applications. Most of us would not even know how to use the computer or would be reading children books in order to build up our use of words.

In conclusion, I think that these teenagers had the passion, drive as well as interest for technology and that is the reason why they could come up with such an innovative idea for such applications that is used by many people.
