Abdul Rahman's opinion on Starting Up: A Generation of Zuckerberg Wannabees

This article is about Cyrus Pishevar and young web entrepreneurs.Cyrus Pishevar invented "High School Memories",a Facebook application.He is one of many web entrepreneurs who succeeded in pursuing his dreams.After reading this article,i felt that young entrepreneurs should pursue their dreams but it's also important for them to have an education.So i felt that they should do both. 


I agree that fewer skills is needed for teens to become web entrepreneurs.As a result,too many teens wants to be a web entrepreneur but only some can actually succeed.Most of them who did not succeed do not have an education,so pretty much they wasted their time and they ruin their future.Peter Thiel,who co-founded PayPal Inc. said in an interview"We need to encourage young Americans to take more risks."I felt that by taking this risks does not ensure that you will have a bright future as you may fail along the way.Because of this I felt that teens should have an education as their back-up plan so if their plan to become a successful web entrepreneur fails,they would at least have a steady job in the future.That's one of the reasons i felt that teens should pursue their dreams and have an education.


Such efforts to persuade teens to pursue their dreams encourages them to drop out of school.Vivek Wadhwa,a visiting scholar at the School Of Information at the University of California, Berkeley said that pursuing entrepreneurship shouldn't come before an education.I agree with his statement as i felt that education is more important than pursuing entrepreneurship as education always comes first.For example,Mark Zuckerberg,the founder of Facebook,didn't drop out of Harvard University until his company was becoming popular.I felt that young entrepreneurs should not drop out of school yet until their creation becomes popular,so that they would not wreck their future.There is also another drawback for young entrepreneurs.They aren't taken seriously by industrialists. 


In conclusion,i really felt that young entrepreneurs should complete their education first before pursuing their dreams or at the same time pursue their dreams while they are still studying so that their future will not be a disaster.
