The main idea of this article is about Cyrus Pishevar, a 13-year-old resident of Palo Alto, California. He is one of Silicon Valley's second generation of Web innovators. One of those teens who grew up online, watching and feeding the rise of Facebook and other nearby ventures.

[Facebook Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg didn't drop out of Harvard University until his company was gaining traction, when he was 20. That's a model that young people should heed, Wadhwa said. "If by any chance you happen to achieve the success that Zuckerberg did, then drop out of school," he said. "But don't screw up your education until you've done that."]

I strongly agree with what Wadhwa have said above. Especially, the last sentence where he mentions that young people should not screw up their education until they are really ready.

My opinion on this topic is although teens these days can become web entrepreneurs because writing software is cheaper and simpler. Also, there are a lot of other factors which helped these young people to grow their business online. There is nothing wrong with this but ultimately they should still focus and concentrate on their education. I felt that web entrepreneur such as Peter Thiel should  not be encouraging students to drop out. Plus, these young people got to bear the consequence of their action. For instance, they may not have enough qualification to fall back on should their ventures fail.

In conclusion, I seriously think that pursuing entrepreneurship should not come before an education.

I am not going to summarize what the article is about. Perhaps, I am just going to give my opinions about the article. (:

Personally, I feel that everyone of us have different views of life and thus each has their own talents and dreams. Here, in my opinion, I think that one who wants to succeed in life must solely depend on what they want for their future, be it to be a nurse, doctor, lecturer or even an entrepreneur.

Let's put Palo Alto's Cyrus Pishevar aside and see who are the other successful people in life without even going to college. People like Richard Branson who is a school dropped out at the age of 16, Bill Gates and even Henry Ford and many others whom managed to succeed in life without the need of going to college and getting a degree even.

What I am trying to imply here is that, although education is essential in our life, somehow I feel that we must always think long-term too. Sometimes, education too cannot provide us with promising careers especially when retrenchments occur. Thus, we need another back up plan to support us. What do I mean by having back up plans? BUSINESSES. We need to venture into businesses so to at least if we got retrenched, we can possibly depend on the back up plan - our own business. With the help of our business also, we can at least earn extra income.

Apart from that, I personally think that successful people are those with HUGE dreams. They think BIG and they soar up high to achieve their dreams. But still,  many of us here are taught to study hard always so as to achieve good results and get good careers. But how many of us go to school to learn on how to make money? How to set up business? How to be a successful entrepreneur?
Maybe schools should start to educate youngsters on these.

But again, education to me is still important because it too acts as a back up plan for if their business were to fail, at least with the certificate they have, they can get a career too.  At least, attain a diploma.
And maybe, it will work this way; Work to save money first and once there are enough savings to set up business, then it will be the good timing to do so.
To sum up, both have their pros and cons.   :D

This article is about the new generation of young web entrepreneurs. One great example is Cyrus Pisheva who developed High School Memories after seeing how popular it was for his friends to "tag" photos of one another on the social network at a age of 13. Since young, his life has been surrounded with the internet. His father who is also a web entrepreneur had a great influence in him and aroused his interest of the web. Thus, he was guided along by his father and become what he is today.

But this has also mislead the inmature tennagers to drop out of school and pursue their unrealistic dreams of becoming a web entrepreneur. I strongly agree with the statement: "Pursuing entrepreneurship shouldnt come before an education". It is true that the advances in the web has increased the opportunity of being a web entrepreneur as a career. But teens being young and inmatured  have not thought of the consequences they have to bear. What if they dropped out of school and their persuation of being a web entrepreneur fail? Have they thought about their future? If they fail to achieve their goals, they may have to suffer for the rest of their life as they do not have a proper education scholarship to find a job.

Thus, I feel that people should have a proper education before pursuing their dreams. Furthermore it is important to be educated in order to be respected even if you are a web entrepreneurship. It is disturbing to see how some webs have grammatical errors and web entrepreneurs having problem in speaking in front of the media.

This article is about young generation who were able to do entrepreneurship by application programming. Cyrus Pishevar a 13 year old resident of Pola Alto was one of them. Cyrus learned entrepreneurship from his dad that he started to develop a Facebook Application after seeing how popular it was for his friends tagging photos of one another on the social network.

He was a teenager who grew up with the Internet and saw the rapid ascent of other social networking programme. Many other youngsters have chosen to bulid their own apps or start a whole computer programme during their school holidays, as they were already been influenced by their technology workers and the introduction to computers. Being surrounded with technology everyday also makes them gained natural interest in it. At the age of 6, Cyrus already learn how to use computer and giving feedbacks to his dad on apps.

Becoming web entrepreneurs these days are easier as fewer skills are needed but adults need to encourage them to take more risks. However, such efforts have drawn criticism for encouraging students to drop out. Wadhwa said that pursuing entrepreneurship should not coime before an education and make Mark Zuckerberg the Facebook Chief Executive Officer a model for young people should heed.

In conclusion, i think that even though we have a talent for example, knows how to make apps, we still need to master our academic education. It is because, with your talent you cannot go far as the whole perspective will change. The trends will change as days passed by. But with your master in academic, you can go far in life. But still, you can upgrade on your talents and never give up.

After reading this article, I find myself  looking at two very different sides of a coin. On one side, we have to growing number of teenagers, young children even, showing up on Newspaper(such as this article) with their latest ingenious ideas/inventions, or children as young as 4 years old, singing in talent shows. This is a good sign, showing more and more youths are becoming passionate to the things that interest them, they are able to use their creative imagination to figure things out or think of inovative ideas like Cyrus Pishevar, a teenager who had created an application for Facebook.
Thanks to technology, it's easier for teens to become Web entrepreneurs these days because writing software is cheaper and simpler, this also encourage more youths to take more risks leading to an all-high number of students dropping out of school to "go after their dreams" and "chase the paper dollar".
However, reality is much more unforgiving on these entreprenuers should they fail. Without education to fall back on, many might not be able to climb back up. This can also be seen clearly in Singapore. Though their child might show humongous potential in a particular aspect, many parents instead insist on their child to forcus more on their studies as it is the "safer" way to go.
In conclusion,  I stronger believe that a child should complete his education first and not think of becoming the "Next Big Thing". We are only young once, and we should cherish it. Parents shouldnot be quick to judge and also not be an obstacle the child has to go through, rather they should be supportive and a guide the child can turn to. Most importantly, the final words should go to the child, after he/she has gave the idea some serious thought. Then can the child, and he/she's surrounding people, can have a peace of mind, knowing the child had thought it through carefully.

The article is about the success of teenagers in Web innovation. I was admired of Cyrus Pishevar, 13-year-old who is one of Silicon Valley's second generation of Web innovators. He had developed High School Memories after seeing how popular his friend to "tag" photos of one another on the social network. He had leaerned the entrepreneurship from his father. It's easier for teens to become a web entrepreneurs because wriitng software is cheaper and simple. The expert knowledge is not necessary required. Traditional education steers the teens away from entrepreneurship and get into the steady jobs. Cyrus was learned how to use computer when was 6-years-old. After finished his homework, he worked on the app. He also present himself at the board meeting since he was a start learner.

In my opinion, to become a successful entrepreneur, we must be passionate with what we do, focus on our strengths, never consider the possibility of failure, work hard, wilingness to learn and discipline ourselve.

Nurul Farhaini Zohri 111020H

These days, there are a lot of young entrepreneurs. This article highlighted about this 13-year-old teenage, Cyrus Pishevar, who is a Web innovator, succeeded in creating a popular Facebook application.
There are also some who quit their studies once they wanted to pursue on something.

I agree with the article, which said that teenage should complete their studies first before pursuing entrepreneurship. Or they could also do both at the same time, only if they could manage their time for both. This is because usually, teenagers tend to abandon their education, and put 100% effort once they succeed in something, like sports, etc. For me, i think that quiting school and pursue a sport, or as in this article, had made a successful facebook application, is not worth it. There are many risks to it. For the sport, you may get injured anytime, and if unlucky, may not be able to play that sport anymore. While for the facebook application example, it also didnt give you a lifetime guarantee of success. As technology keep advancing by the day, your apps might get outdated, etc.

So, in conclusion, I think it is best to have proper education, and also achieve the best out of it, like Cyrus Pishevar.

Low wei ling, Eileen. 114224G

After reading this article, it makes me ponder. How is it that some people who does not have a cert or a degree can be much more successful than those who had achieved one? I'm not mainly talking about adults but teenagers of my age or even younger. Probably, they are surrounded by talents and got inspired by certain people. On top of that, they're also talented to take on any obstacles that come in their way. In this era of mine, it's common to see people surfing the net, therefore it really inspires people to have a new creation of their own on the web and be successful.

However, I got to emphasize that not everyone can be as successful as Cyrus Pishevar but we can allow him to inspired us until we had gotten our cert or degree for his remarkable creation and shockingly, his age. Education is really important because not all of people in this world are gifted or talented. Therefore, education acts like a key to all doors and also a "back up" for our portfolio. As for those who are gifted and talented, education is like credit bonus for them. Eg, Mark Zuckerberg. He has the ability to oversee the whole picture and brought himself to where he is now, A multi-billionaire. Thus, I strongly feel that we should not neglect or forsake our studies.

Teenagers of my age should be inspired by the Cyrus Pishevar but not act on impulse. They have to think of the consequences of every actions that they made. Be it good or bad, Successful or not. However, this doesn't means that I disapprove this. If someone is talented and confident in this prospect, why not? By all means, they should go for it. Nobody will know the outcome, until they see it for themselves.

This article talks about the achievements of teenagers who have created applications that have benefitted the world. It is definitely surprising that Cyrus Pishevar, a teenager who had created an application for Facebook, which is known as High School Memories, is only 13 years old. I think that it was innovative of him to come up with this application which can collect pictures of one’s High School memories and combine it into an application so that people will not have to “tag” one another on Facebook. This is something which not all 13 year olds can come up with.

One of the main reasons why he could come up with this was because he learnt entrepreneurship from his father, was brought up by technology workers and was introduced to computers at an early age.

In my opinion, I think that being exposed to technology has an impact on how a child thinks about applications. For example, Daniel Brusilovsky, an 18-year-old mentioned that he was surrounded by technology for a long time and gradually gained an interest for it. This could have led him to have found two startups even before he was old enough to vote. Another main reason that could have contributed to these successful achievements of these teenagers, is due to the writing software, which is now simpler and cheaper.

I think that the comment by Facebook investor, Peter Thiel, in which he said that one should pursue their dreams, rather than college, because traditional education steers them away from entrepreneurship and into steady jobs, is not appropriate. Students might think that school is not important and that fulfilling their dreams is more important.  I also think that students should not risk their education for dreams that they are not sure in which if they can succeed or not.
Another amazing fact about Cyrus is that at an age of six years old, he was learning how to use the computer and was even giving feedback to his father about applications. Most of us would not even know how to use the computer or would be reading children books in order to build up our use of words.

In conclusion, I think that these teenagers had the passion, drive as well as interest for technology and that is the reason why they could come up with such an innovative idea for such applications that is used by many people.

After reading this article, I feel that teens nowadays are really admirable. For example, at the age of 13, Cyrus Pishevar has already become a Web entrepreneur; while most of us are sill studying. I believe that I was spending my time playing online games while Cyrus created the Facebook application High School Memories.
In the article, there have been drawing criticisms for encouraging students to drop out of school. Although learning entrepreneurship during our teen’s life is commendable, we cannot neglect our education.  Without the good knowledge of the things we do, we might end up failing it. We cannot be focusing on only one thing and overlook the others. Having higher educational level is a good thing, we can portrait ourselves better in front of others as we learnt more knowledge which others may not know yet. If we could handle both our school works and interest well that will be the best.
However, if a person is overly focusing in being entrepreneur at a young age, he will lose his degree of childhood normalcy. Therefore, we must keep the balance with the things we do and nothing will go wrong this way. We can still purse our dream, nobody will stop us.

After reading the article, i was impressed by these young web entrepreneurs who are so successful at such a tender age. I hope to be like them too. This article shows that the environment they grow up in can influence them greatly, be it good or bad. Like in this article, Cyrus Pisheva, 13, he was brought up by his dad who was the founder of the five startups. His father may influence this web entrepreneurship to him, hence this may trigger his mind to be innovative and come up with this High School Memories. However, not everybody will be that successful like Cyrus. It takes time and sometimes lots of failures and experiences to achieve this success. Not everybody can stand up from these failures. I feel that a little luck place a part too. So actually there are many factors in consideration before success.

However, in the article, it states that it also encourage students to drop out of school, In my opinion, no matter how sure you'll succeed in something, we, as students should not give up our education. The occupation of students is study. So i feel that until we meet our minimum education level, then we can drop up or give up on our education. just like in Singapore, students should at least get a diploma. This is so that if you don't succeed in your alternative career, at least you've got your diploma to fall on. i personally feel that to give up education is a risk.

Therefore, to conclude, i feel that youngsters shouldn't give up their education to pursue their dreams. This is because their dreams may be too unrealistic for them, resulting in failures and them not being able to get back on track. Also, students should complete their education first before getting completely involve in such web entrepreneurship, especially when they don't have a professional to guide them. Contradictorily, if they're very interested in such web entrepreneurship, maybe they can start with very simple and small web entrepreneurship. This is so when they meet failures, it would not be that severe, and thus they can learn to pick up themselves from those failures.

Miko Chong, 111856A

This article shows that entrepreneurs could start off at any age. One example is Cyrus Pishevar, a 13-year-old resident of Palo Alto, California, developed High School Memories after seeing how popular it was for his friends to "tag" photos of one another on the social network.
In many countries like Singapore and America, youths are highly encouraged to express themselves and venture into new and innovative businesses. Although It's easier for teens to become Web entrepreneurs these days, I feel that youths should not forgo their education to pursue their dreams. Though they might have family business, or come under any influences with business, they should not take the risk to stop their education, rather they should have continued till they reach to a point whereby they gain many experiences through many attachments and work.

In addition, they should think of the bigger picture. For example, starting a business is not difficult but the process in which how businesses are developed are much more complicated and these had to be supported with many experiences and principles. Therefore it is important to focus on education first as I feel it would serve as a base for one to learn more in the future. Moreover, It may be a double edged sword starting a business at a very young age. The business will be popular if it prospers, but if the business fails, youths will end up wasting their time and money. As such, education is crucial because knowledge is something that cannot be erased in our lifes, and i believe that everyone must attain a certain level of education before we decide to pursue our goals.

Therefore, I feel that youths should think before they act. Many planning and roles had to  be committed before making their dreams possible. Furthermore, they must have the will to fight and endure with whatever obstacles that has been put through.

It is really freaking impressive to see young people these days who are able to do entrepreneurship at such an early age.One of these young entrepreneurs goes by the name Cyrus Pishevar.Being able to see how people could tag each other's pictures in a social network, this inspired Cyrus to develop the High School Memories application at just the age of 13.One of the reasons as to why young people these days have developed an interest to technology is due to the fact that they were raised by parents who were involved in this line. One such person is Daniel Brusilovsky who was brought up by a software manager said,"I was surrounded by tech everyday for so long that i gained a natural interest for it".Having such exposure to technology at a very early age, this has led to Daniel finding 2 startups even before he was able to vote.

It is really amazing to see how these people are able to accomplish this much at their age. However, this has resulted in more people deciding on persuing entrepreneurship and they neglect their education as a result.First of all i totally agree on the fact that if you are able to find ways of doing business and make huge amount of money, thats the way to go.But if the business fails and the person had already chosen to drop his educaion, what other options would he be left with?

In my opinion, i think it is important to focus on education first as i feel it would serve as a base for one to learn more in the future. If one chooses to take the risk of starting entrepreneurship at an early stage of his life,he would definitely have a really tough career ahead of him.

This article is about Cyrus Pishevar, a 13-year-old resident of Palo Alto, California and how he created a facebook application dubbed 'high school memories'. Cyrus Pishevar, a 13-year-old resident of Palo Alto, California, developed High School Memories after seeing how popular it was for his friends to "tag" photos of one another on the social network.
However the thought of young people dropping school to go pursue software engineering gigs has negative views. Drawing criticism  for encouraging students to drop out, in the same way that a dream of playing in the National Basketball Association might prevent some kids from staying in school. Pursuing entrepreneurship shouldn't come before an education, said Vivek Wadhwa, a visiting scholar at the School of Information at the University of California, Berkeley."These are Silicon Valley's child soldiers," he said. "The vast majority of them will fail miserably. Then they've screwed up their careers."
In cyrus's case his journey began by sitting in his father's board meetings. following which having the chance to meet Mark zuckerburg where he started developing his ideas.
Now cyrus is still developing softwares,Living in Silicon Valley means kids have easy access to programming help. With High School Memories, Cyrus got assistance from Ryan Romanchuk, a 25-year-old engineer and family friend who works at a nearby startup. His father, meanwhile, is contributing $5,000 to $10,000 to the project, mostly to pay for advertising.
I would like to say that choosing the mark zuckerburg way  of success can be rewarding as well as dangerous. i would discourage anyone dropping school to go to developing things like cyrus. On the other hand i am glad to see that there is a rise of entrepreneurs such increases leads to a world with a better future. However like i said earlier first things first get a degree. Is education the most important thing that we must achieve in life?
As far as many people know, education is a MUST for everyone and it is the most important NEEDS that we must have in our life.

After reading this article, it makes me have a different perspective of having an education.
Does education keep us out or in the box?
From primary school to university, we got out knowledge for our lecturer and books. However, we did not experience or know more information of the course we studied because we are confine to the topics/syllabus that the school wants to teach.

Mark Zuckerberg dropped out of Harvard to set up Facebook Inc. Harvard is the most prestigious university that many people wish that they could enter. The question is why did he drop out of Harvard? I've been wondering why did most capable people drop out of school. For example, Bill gates. And I realized that they did not do badly but their knowledge for that particular course(eg, Internet) far exceeded the knowledge of their lecturers.

However, what makes him successful is the education that he accumulated throughout the years of his education. With the addition of interest and self learning, he had become the world's successful man.

Cyrus Pishevar who grows up with technology even does his homework before working on his apps. This shows how important education is but also shows that with a chance to try out things that we had idea on, it helps us in better learning. Because it tells us if our idea success or fail.

In my opinion after reading this article, education is not the most important thing we need in our life but is a stepping stone to success. To be successful, we need education, personal interest and self learning. And we need opportunities to carry out our dreams/ideas.

Chuan Yuen Wah Jazreel 111214W

"Pursuing entrepreneurship shouldn't come before an education". However, "If by any chance you happen to achieve the success that Zuckerberg did, then drop out of school," said Vivek Wadhwa.

Education is important to most of the teenagers-like us. Don't you agree? How many of us could actually forgo our studies and become a successful entrepreneur? Without a proper degree or certificate, where could we go? Not anyone has talents and wisdoms. Our knowledge comes from education. Thus, to most of the teenagers, education is the KEY to the locks of the future. To become a successful entrepreneur, or even a multi-millionaire, we all need knowledge FIRST.

However, i was impressed by Cyrus Pishevar, a 13 year old teenage who was able to come out with the application-facebook. Cyrus Pishevar also learned entepreneurship from his dad, allowing him to become a successful web innovator. With the environment of technology revolving around Cyrus Pishevar, it had allowed him to feed the rise of Facebook. Thus most of us were actually enjoying this social network, agree? Furthermore, to become web entrepreneur, its pretty easy these days. This was due to the cheaper and simpler writing software. Thus it might create an misunderstanding to the people that "Building a Facebook app does not require four years of computer science". Which meant that you might not need very good knowledge to become a web innovator. On my point of view, i disagree. Not everyone is genius. All of us has our own good and bad points.

To summarize, in my opinion, education is really the key to success. Risking your future by foregoing your studies might not be the most prudent decision. Teenagers should really think twice before making any decisions which would cause them to regret in the end. On contrast, teenagers could used Cyrus Pishevar as a form of motivation to become successful.

Shaun Poo 114237E :)

Reading this article, i feel that this article was written to raise awareness of the recent bloom in teenager's pursuing entrepreneurship by enabling the use of technology. The example noted of which in this article is a 13 year old teen, Cyrus Pishevar, who though at such a young age, through pure creativity and basically observing that tagging photos was such a popular social past time on facebook, founded an application called High School Memories, which allowed users of Facebook to share and reminice with others, their own personal high school experience. This is an amazing feat, especially for someone as young as 13 to have managed, Showing that despite being of such a young age, almost anyone can use technology to begin their own pursuit in entrepreneuship. This is however, also due to how advanced technology nowadays has come, that writing software has become that much simpler and easier to use, making it obvious that less skills are currently required to build programs.
However the bloom in interweb entrepreneurship has both it's pros and cons, as the issue of which the article has discussed, that an increasing amount of students are dropping out of school to chase their dream of entrepreneuship. This is definitely an worrying issue, as education is an important point in every aspect of a person's life, without education, the teens who dropped out of school and fail to attain success in their jobs will be left with nothing, noting that unless "by any chance you happen to achieve the success that Zuckerberg did, then drop out of school," Vivek Wadhwa said. "But don't screw up your education until you've done that."

Farah Hashim 111760Z

This article is concerning a young Web innovator and entrepreneur. 13 year-old Cyrus Pishevar has successfully created a Facebook application 'High School Memories'. However, he isn't the only one. Silicon Valley is populated with second generation of Web innovators. This is because writing software is cheaper and simpler nowadays. Not only that, the tools require less expert knowledge so fewer skills are needed. This has spurred teens to pursue their dreams and take risks. Risks that involve dropping out of school.

Follow your dreams. That's what you always hear from people. But what if you should fail in the process and screw up your future? I agree that you should go after what you love but you must think of the consequences first. I do feel that it is encouraging that youngsters are aiming to be Web entrepreneurs. This shows that they can achieve anything they dare to dream. But some are dropping out of school and then their careers did not take off. So what aspiring teen Web entrepreneurs should do is take a leaf out of Mark Zuckerberg's book and not drop out of school until they are absolutely certain their company will not collapse.

Grace Ong, 115440Z

This article shows us that teenagers like us can also be a successful entrepreneur. One of the examples is Cyrus Pishevar. Cyrus Pishevar developed a Facebook application called the High School Memories after finding out how popular it is to ‘tag’ one another on social networks. It allows young people who are interested in becoming an entrepreneur know that it is not an impossible thing to do.
I feel that being a successful entrepreneur also needs knowledge besides creativity and this makes education important. I agree with Vivek Wadhwa, a visiting scholar at the School of Information at the University of California, that we should not screw up our education until you happen to achieve the success that Zuckerberg did. At our age, we should not risk our education just to become an entrepreneur because it is very risky and you might not succeed. You will be competing with other entrepreneur with more knowledge than you. Thus, I feel that teenagers should think before they make any harsh decisions if they want to be an entrepreneur at this age.
To summarize, I think that young people should really think before they act. Following your dreams is good, but always remember the risk of the choice you are going to make and make a wise decision. The article really shows us that it is not impossible to be successful entrepreneur at our age, just like Cyrus Pishevar, but don’t forget to enjoy being a kid because it is one important stage of our life.

Starting Up: A Generation of Zuckerberg Wannabees

This article is about the young generation of web entrepreneurs. One of the example is Cyrus Pishevar, a 13 years old boy. He developed a Facebook application, High School Memories after seeing his friends "tagging" photos of each other on the website. He learn entrepreneurship from his father whom is the founder of five startups. Since young, he grew up with technology hence developing interest in technology too.

Nowadays, youths are encouraged to take risk to forgo their education to pursue their dream of building a company. However, i personally feel that youths will not have sufficient experience or neither are they mature enough to manage a business. Starting a business might be easy, but managing it is a complicated process. As technology is improving, it is much easier to be a web entrepreneur. But i think that education should come first before everything. Thus, I would not encourage people to drop out of school to pursue their dream of being an entrepreneur. What if their careers did not take off after dropping out of school? In the end, they are sacrificing their education for an unrealistic dream.

This article talks about how young people can be so creative in their thinking and how they are able to become entrepreneurs at a very young age. One example is a boy named Cyrus Pishevar.

At the age of 13, Cyrus developed an app called high school memories as he was being inspired on how popular it was of tagging each other pictures on a social network. He said that, when you type in your memories, it speaks more than just pictures can, especially when your friends help you through.

From this article, it shows how to world has revolutionized into a world whereby even teenagers are able to become web entrepreneurs easily without an adult helping them. This is possible as what Daniel Gross said, writing software and is cheaper and simpler. The tools to make an app required less knowledge and do not required to have four years of knowledge in computer sciences.

It is important for us to chase our dreams but we must not forget about our education. As Vivek Wadha says, Pursuing entrepreneurship shouldn't come before an education. It is because, if you happen to screw up in your business, at least you have your education to support you. Taking Mark Zuckerberg for example, he did not drop out of Harvard University until his company gains traction. Thus, I feel that gaining traction for the company is very important before we make a decision on to go for education or entrepreneurship.

Thus, to summarize the topic, we must balance out between education and entrepreneurship. Not all people can be like Mark Zuckerberg. So, we must not neglect our education until we are sure that the company had gained traction and will be able to prosper.

This article is about a young web innovator- Cyrus Pishevar, who is being able to create a very successful application for Facebook (after he saw how popular it was for his friends to "tag" photos of one another on the social network. ) at the age of 13.  This shows that many younger ones are actually getting more involved in technology and it some sort prove that there is no age limit for creativity and excelling in becoming a web entrepreneur.

It is good for teenagers to start venturing and experimenting with different hands-on of different aspects, one which may include dealing with the web and IT stuff. Peter Thiel ( Investor of Facebook, and also co-founder of Paypal), encourages teens to pursue their dreams, rather than college, because traditional education steers them away from entrepreneurship and into steady jobs.
However, having a skill on IT should not actually serve as a form of encouragement for students to drop out of school and pursue their dreams, as I feel that having an education helps to assure and secure your future. As we are young, there will be plenty of time to pursue our dream once we completed our education. Also, it gives us time to think twice whether we really have the ablility to take such risks and endure setbacks. But also, not forgetting to spend their childhood happily, like a normal teenager.

Personally I feel to being able to be successful, one must be able to withstand and be prepared to face all the obstacles and risks coming up.

This article speaks of a generation of young entrepreneurs, mainly based of the success of young entrepreneur Cyrus Pishevar, a 13-year-old resident of Palo Alto, California. Cyrus's deep interest in entrepreneurship was mostly inspired by his father. Cyrus had spent a long time thinking about an idea for his Facebook application, until he came along the idea for an application called "High School Memories" . The app mostly helps people "tag" photos of one another. Cyrus is currently also one of the second generation of web innovators.

I feel that it is very easy for teenagers in today's society to develop a strong background in technology, as mostly everything involves technology or the use of the internet. Writing software has also become much cheaper and simpler to use, thus this makes building of Facebook apps much more simpler, and we no longer require years of experience. Thus i feel that with the proper utilization of our excess to technology and the internet, i feel that anyone with a strong interest in web entrepreneurship would definitely be able to somewhat accomplish their dreams.

It is important to follow your dreams, however it is also important not to forget your studies. If your dream is to be a web entrepreneur, although it may not be required that you complete your education in high school or in college. It is wise to ensure that your web page or app is gaining traction before giving up on your education. Take Mark Zuckerberg for example, he did not drop out of Harvard University until Facebook started gaining traction.

To summarize the topic on following your dreams, i feel that it is very important to not neglect your education until you are sure that you would be able to achieve success as how Mark Zuckerberg did. Although your dreams may not require what you are studying in High-school or in College, education is truly a very important factor in your life, as it provides you with the basic requirements needed.

Mark Zuckerberg, creator of Facebook. Changer of million of life and put standards for Social Networks. He change the way we connect with one another, how we share our information with one another. Mark has changed the world and also become a role model for others who just really love social networks and now creating social network sites to feed their passion. Facebook have created a budget for teenagers with ideas of social network to come up and make their ideas into reality. This makes youth to take more risk and to take advantage on the world's population as success comes from risk and hard work.

But Facebook creation has influence students to drop out of school in order to reach their dreams this has made a problem because without education, youths will not be able to survive in the world as education is very important to people. Taking risk is indeed the way to go to reach your dreams, but without education youths will not know that sometimes taking risk will lead to failure, what will youths do when they have failed, without education they are not able to make smart risks and succeed in life. Education is very important and it is crucial to start young. Education is everywhere and available to anybody, but having education youths are young is easier for them to understand about the world as they are innocent and pure.

Facebook is not aiming for youths to drop out of school, but the way they target this youths is totally wrong. Facebook is still young and I don't blame them as they are not experience with such consequences, but I feel that Facebook will change and help youths with education to achieve their dreams by scholarships and other means to make them reach their dreams..

Abdul Rahman's opinion on Starting Up: A Generation of Zuckerberg Wannabees

This article is about Cyrus Pishevar and young web entrepreneurs.Cyrus Pishevar invented "High School Memories",a Facebook application. He is one of many web entrepreneurs who succeeded in pursuing his dreams. After reading this article,i felt that young entrepreneurs should pursue their dreams but it's also important for them to have an education. So i felt that they should do both.

I agree that fewer skills is needed for teens to become web entrepreneurs. As a result, too many teens wants to be a web entrepreneur but only some can actually succeed. Most of them who did not succeed do not have an education,so pretty much they wasted their time and they ruin their future.Peter Thiel, who co-founded PayPal Inc. said in an interview"We need to encourage young Americans to take more risks."I felt that by taking this risks does not ensure that you will have a bright future as you may fail along the way.Because of this I felt that teens should have an education as their back-up plan so if their plan to become a successful web entrepreneur fails, they would at least have a steady job in the future. That's one of the reasons i felt that teens should pursue their dreams and have an education.

Such efforts to persuade teens to pursue their dreams encourages them to drop out of school.Vivek Wadhwa,a visiting scholar at the School Of Information at the University of California, Berkeley said that pursuing entrepreneurship shouldn't come before an education.I agree with his statement as i felt that education is more important than pursuing entrepreneurship as education always comes first. For example,Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook, didn't drop out of Harvard University until his company was becoming popular.I felt that young entrepreneurs should not drop out of school yet until their creation becomes popular,so that they would not wreck their future. There is also another drawback for young entrepreneurs. They aren't taken seriously by industrialists.

In conclusion,i really felt that young entrepreneurs should complete their education first before pursuing their dreams or at the same time pursue their dreams while they are still studying so that their future will not be a disaster.

They seem like chicks that never entirely grew finish their wings, attempting to fly far before they reach the age of flight. These children or teens are just plainly throwing their futures away without consideration of what might happen to them if they do not succeed.

I strongly do not agree as long as they have a balance they can achieve a relatively normal childhood. The teens are unprepared to get in trouble with the law if they have copyright issues and the judge would most likely dismissed the case due to them being minors that is just biased that he could get away due to the fact that they are young.

Unless they have a 100% confirmation and a very reliable back-up that they will continue doing the same technology stuff for the rest of their lives, I believe that no one should start internet business without any backup(education). NOONE will be willing to hire them too without any background in the programming.

This article is about young entrepreneurs and about a 13-year old entrepreneur, Cyrus Pishevar. He is the creator of the Facebook application "High School Memories". He created this application because he believes that pictures speaks more than words - "When you type in your memories, it speaks more than just pictures can, especially when your friends help you through."

Nowadays, critics says that it is much easier for teens to become Web entrepreneurs as lesser advanced skills is needed and it's cheaper and easier. Peter Thiel said - "
he wants teens to pursue their dreams, rather than college, because traditional education steers them away from entrepreneurship and into steady jobs. " However, I feel that teens should not give up on their studies to pursue their dreams on a mere hunch that they will succeed as much consideration needs to be put into, i.e. "What if my venture fails?", "What would my opportunity cost be?" etc. But, this does not mean I approve of them giving up on their dreams, teens can pursue their dreams while studying so that if their business were to fail, they will at least have education qualifications to look for a stable job before trying again.

For Cyrus Pishevar, his venture was due to his father's influence and his main idea of sharing precious memories with friends on Facebook. Cyrus was always present in his father's board meetings since a toddler. Inspired, he learnt how to use the computer and started giving feedbacks to his father at the age of 6.

One main disadvantage for young entrepreneurs is that they aren't taken seriously by investors. Investors think that they are too young to be taken seriously and that they would not be able to think up a billion-dollar idea. However, they are wrong. As what Brusilovsky says - "These entrepreneurs might not have a billion-dollar idea today, but when they're done with high school or college, then maybe they will have a billion-dollar idea and they will know what to do with it."

Personally, I feel that young entrepreneurs must be able to take the setback that they will be facing and the challenges of the business world and that they are willing to take risks.

Aw Chin Siong's opinion on Starting Up: A Generation of Zuckerberg Wannabees 112685F

As the countries began to modernise, computers have started to get into the lives of people. I could say that computers have become  part and parcel of or lives that we could not life without it. No one requires the qualification for using the computer:Web technologies users are getting younger, they are not only the tools that militaries used for transmission of information, the tools for the working adults to present and organise their work but also the tools for youngster to socialise and even for settling  their private business.

Youngster nowadays are no longer dreaming for their ambition, they are capable of executing and fufilling their dreams. All they need to do is to dare to dream and dare to do it. This seemed to be a good news to many youngster with high hope and dreams. But this may carries wrong messages like qualification may not be required before working. Another form of negative message may also include education is a waste of time.

In conclusion, with the platform of the web technologies it has drawn youngsters closer to their ambitions. It may be a doubled-edged knife that caused youngster to forgo their foundation-education.

Fabio's Opinion on "Starting Up: A Generation of Zuckerberg Wannabees" 111111T article

After reading this article, i thought that it is not really necessary to have certificates and qualification to be able to have a good future. Teenagers nowadays were very much into ITs and technologies.Being in a web generation, it would be much easier for youth to be a web entrepreneur as not much expert skills were required. The aritcle states that "traditional education leads the younger diverts the younger generation from entrepreneurship and into steady jobs", which i felt that this sentence were partially true, as youth should learn to try to take risk and learnt on how to start up a business instead of sticking to work life throughout their lives.

However on the other hand, in my own opinion, i felt that youth nowdays shouldn't be too involved in entrepreneurship. Being in a multi-bilion project is not going to be a easy deal and they have to deal with lots of stress and workloads. you may call it a traditional thinking, but i thought that being the business world at such an early age, could actually deprive a child of it's childhood. Imagine, that they have to deal with their homeworks in school, at the same time, dealing with the muti-billion workload after that. This would certainly take up most of the child's time in getting busy with works instead of enjoying what they suppose to enjoy, and that is CHILDHOOD.

Hence all in all, i felt that YES we could devote our time into business making projects, or into enjoyment. But ultimately, in our generations we really should get use to balancing our lifestyles. Linking back to where we are now, being in a generation Y period, i think that we should really understand the word "DICIPLINE".
